Malee leads research for Newland, integrating market research,
economic and marketplace trends, and customer and product
segmentation to inform company planning, development and strategic
decision-making. She oversees research throughout the life of a
project, from market selection and pre-acquisition to market
positioning, development and build-out. As well, she collaborates
with Newland's regional teams on new community envisioning and
project planning, and is responsible for ongoing research synthesis
and application that supports the operating divisions.
Malee has a highly diversified background in working with
residential and commercial developers, homebuilders, landowners,
investors, government and public sector entities.Prior to joining
Newland, she was Vice President at RCLCO, a national advisory firm
serving the real estate industry, where she conducted development
strategy planning, market and product segmentation, economic and
fiscal impact analysis, and economic modeling for
mixed-use/multi-use, residential, retail/commercial, office,
R&D/industrial and hospitality developments across the US.
Malee is a graduate of University of California, Los Angeles and
Harvard University. She is a Woodrow Wilson Fellow and a member of
the Urban Land Institute and PCBC Program Committee.
