Bill Meyer provides operational and senior leadership for the development of Newland’s mixed-use communities in the West region. In this role, Bill leads project teams to identify the appropriate housing and non-residential products, select homebuilders, commercial and multifamily developers to build those products, oversee the design and development of the land, and negotiate and close the sale of the land. Bill is also responsible for identifying acquisition opportunities in the Central Texas region.

Bill has over 30 years of experience in all aspects of real estate development, including land acquisition, sales, project management, operations, asset management, workouts and restructuring, and has worked on some of the top-selling communities in Austin, Houston, and San Diego. Prior to joining Newland, Bill was Vice President and General Manager for Terrabrook, a national land development company that was acquired by Newland in 2003. Negotiating and closing over $600 million of real estate transactions in his career, Bill has obtained development approvals for thousands of homes and over one million square feet of office and commercial uses in multiple jurisdictions.

Bill is a member of Urban Land Institute, currently serving on the Advisory Board of the local Austin Chapter. Bill is also on the Executive Committee of the Homebuilders Association of Greater Austin and is the 2019 Chair of the Developers Council for the Texas Association of Builders.

Bill holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from the University of Houston and is a Certified Public Accountant.
