Commitment to
sustainable communities

We create communities that respect the individual, the land, the natural environment, and the unique influence of the local marketplace. Our holistic approach to mixed-use sustainable communities provides those who live and work with opportunity, balance, and connections for a meaningful life.
We focus on being healthy, staying connected, and remaining resilient—it’s what inspires us to create communities like no other.

Unique environments

Our sustainability mission and principles serve as a guide throughout the community creation process—from preserving acres of open space and planting native vegetation, to water conservation strategies and engaging the local community. We blend mindful planning with design excellence for a dynamic mix of innovation, sustainability, and quality, and measure our progress through the life of a community.

Green living equals potential savings

From its inception in 2008, Briar Chapel blazed a trail as a never-done-before, never-seen-before community. As the first and one of largest green communities in the Triangle, Briar Chapel offers a respectful, sustainable way of life – from its NAHB-certified green homes and 900 acres of preserved open space to its committed community relationships. Now, the 1,600-acre community is home to more than 1,650 residents who enjoy two on-site schools, a community college, a resort-style pool, 20+ preserved parks, 24 miles of trails, and Veranda, its shopping, dining, and retail hot spot.
