Aaron Baker leads operations for the Tampa market, including the Waterset and Bexley mixed-use communities. He is responsible for leading a team of talented professionals to execute the long-term development of the Tampa area, including optimization of design and development of land, community master planning and design, residential sales, and commercial development.
Aaron began his career with Newland in 2012 in the Charlotte office as the Regional Controller and later the Director of Finance & Accounting. In this role, he oversaw the acquisitions of Wendell Falls, Rivelights, and Nexton. Aaron later transitioned to the Tampa market. Prior to joining Newland, Aaron spent over 11 years with Plante & Moran and Cherry Bekeart, both Top-30 accounting and consulting firms.
Aaron is a member of ULI Florida. He graduated Magna Cum Laude from Grand Valley State University with a Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting and Finance, and is a certified public accountant.
